THA101: Thai Massage
The Thai Massage Course at the Moua Institute of Massage is an immersive program designed to introduce students to the ancient practice of Thai massage. This course focuses on the traditional techniques and movements associated with Thai massage, often referred to as “lazy man’s yoga.”
Students will learn how to use their hands, knees, legs, and feet to move clients into a series of yoga-like stretches. The course covers a range of techniques including muscle compression, joint mobilization, and acupressure.
In addition to practical skills, students will also explore the history and philosophy of Thai massage, understanding its roots in Thai culture and its holistic approach to wellness.
This course is ideal for those who wish to expand their repertoire of massage techniques and offer a unique and invigorating massage experience to their clients. Upon completion of the course, students will be well-prepared to perform Thai massage in a variety of settings, from spas to wellness centers, or even as part of a private practice.
